The encoder disk is fixed to the left side of the upper feed wheel shaft. It is used to count the revolutions to dispense the correct tape length
Quick Service Tip The small plastic connector can break on the disk. If that happens the disk will freewheel on the upper feed wheel shaft causing longer tape lengths then desired. You select 12″ but the machine dispenses 20 or more inches of tape. If you have an issue with long tape lengths check the encoder disk and the encoder disk reader
